Heal Your Glass Child Wounds

Were you the child
who learned to disappear?

If you grew up with a disabled, chronically ill, or high-needs sibling and learned to be the easy one — this healing programme is for you.

Glass children don't lack love. They lack loving attention. This programme heals the invisible wounds created when your needs had to come second, when you learned not to ask, and when being strong became your identity.

Were you that child?

Were you the child who learned not to need much?

If you grew up with a disabled, chronically ill, or high-needs sibling, you may have learned — quietly and unconsciously — that your role was to be easy, strong, and self-sufficient.

You didn't cause trouble. You didn't ask for much. You didn't add to the load.

Over time, you may have learned to disappear.

If this resonates, you may be what's known as a glass child — someone whose emotional needs were overlooked, not out of lack of love, but because there simply wasn't enough capacity to hold everyone.

This programme exists for you.

What it is

What is Glass Child Syndrome?

Glass Child Syndrome describes the emotional impact on siblings of children with chronic illness, disability, or significant additional needs.

Parents are understandably consumed by medical care, appointments, worry, and survival. The glass child learns to look after themselves — and maybe their siblings, and their parents too — far too early.

Over time, this creates deep emotional wounds that often follow glass children into adulthood — shaping relationships, self-worth, boundaries, anxiety, and even fears around pregnancy and parenting.

This programme is not about blame. It's about healing what was never tended to.

The hidden cost

The hidden cost of growing up as a glass child.

Many adult glass children struggle with:

  • Feeling invisible or emotionally overlooked.
  • Suppressing needs or struggling to ask for help.
  • Fierce independence and difficulty receiving care.
  • Chronic guilt for having needs.
  • Resentment over feeling guilty.
  • Perfectionism and over-responsibility.
  • Emotional numbness, emptiness, or grief.
  • Sense of being damaged or irreparably broken.
  • Anxiety around becoming a parent — and therefore pregnancy and birth.

These aren't flaws or personality traits. They are adaptive survival responses — and they can be healed.

The programme

Heal Your Glass Child Wounds.

Heal Your Glass Child Wounds is a structured, trauma-informed healing programme designed specifically for adults who grew up as glass children.

Rather than focusing on coping strategies or surface-level insight, this programme works at the root emotional level, gently healing the wounds created by emotional neglect, invisibility, and premature responsibility.

This is not about reliving your past. It's about releasing what your nervous system has been carrying — for what might have been your whole life.

This is a therapeutic healing programme. Not a self-help course.

It is designed to replicate the depth and structure of the work I do with my private 1:1 clients. Inside the programme, you are not just learning about healing — you are actively engaging in it.

You'll be guided through:

  • Targeted wound healing sessions.
  • Structured emotional clearances.
  • A carefully sequenced healing pathway.

These are the same types of healing sessions I use in real client work, adapted for self-guided use so that deep healing is accessible beyond the therapy room. This is why the programme is structured, contained, and intentionally paced.

The six clusters

Six core wound clusters.

The programme is organised into six core wound clusters — each addressing a different layer of the glass-child experience.

1 Cluster 1

Invisibility & Neglect

Healing the wounds of being unseen, forgotten, or emotionally overlooked.

Includes: being forgotten · being left alone · not being thought about · emotional neglect · not being cared for.

2 Cluster 2

Needs Suppression & Self-Erasure

Healing the belief that your needs are a burden — and learning it is safe to receive.

Includes: needs not being met · not expressing needs · fear of being a burden · silencing yourself to "not rock the boat".

3 Cluster 3

Rejection, Brokenness & Identity Damage

Healing the fear that you have been irreparably broken by the experience.

Includes: feeling damaged or broken · internalised rejection · fear of passing on disability · pregnancy or childbirth fear.

4 Cluster 4

Responsibility, Obligation & Premature Adulthood

Healing over-responsibility, perfectionism, and the loss of childhood.

Includes: feeling overly responsible · obligation · parentification · losing the freedom to just be a child.

5 Cluster 5

Grief, Loss & Emotional Desolation

Healing unacknowledged grief for what you didn't receive — and couldn't grieve.

Includes: loss of parental availability · emotional disconnection · emptiness and desolation · unmourned loss and grief — of yourself, your healthy sibling.

6 Cluster 6

Anger, Resentment, Guilt & Injustice

Healing suppressed anger, resentment, guilt for resentment, and the overwhelming sense that "this wasn't fair."

Includes: resentment · guilt about resentment · resentment around the guilt · blame · feeling let down or betrayed by life.

How it works

Self-paced. Gentle. Spacious.

The Glass Child Healing Programme is designed to be effective without being overwhelming.

Each of the six wound clusters includes:

  • A short contextual video explaining the wound cluster.
  • Multiple targeted wound healing activations.
  • Supporting emotional clearances.

You can move through the programme in your own time and revisit modules as needed. No prior healing experience is required.

Most online programmes focus on insight, education, or behaviour change. This one works at a different level — beneath behaviour, beneath coping strategies, beneath conscious memory. Many of these wounds formed early — sometimes pre-verbally — which is why they often persist despite years of insight, reflection, or therapy. The work here is deep, precise, and intentionally therapeutic.

Community

Healing doesn't have to happen alone.

Your programme includes access to the Head Trash Healing Community, where you can:

  • Ask questions and get guidance.
  • Share your experiences with others on the same path.
  • Get support from Alexia and the Head Trash team.
  • Join future community Q&A and live healing calls.

This is personalised healing — but you're not doing it in isolation.

Real shifts. Real people.

From people who've done deep healing work.

Quotes from people working with the same Head Trash Clearance method this programme is built on.

Susie
Therapist

"Three months ago, I felt completely broken. Grief, emotional baggage, and years of unresolved stuff were weighing me down. I'd tried so many healing approaches, but nothing really shifted at the core. Now? Everything has changed."

Jayne
Doctor

"I used to have strong anxiety and frequent panic attacks. Since doing this work, I've started to feel calmer and more relaxed. The craziness in my head has gone and I feel calm. I feel excited now to think about my future."

Jess
Radio host

"The Head Trash Clearance method is a LIFESAVER. I would have paid 10 times the amount to access this information. I recommend it to anyone who is letting their fears get in the way of them living their best life."

Results vary. This is not a medical treatment. Individual experience will depend on personal context and engagement with the material.

Alexia Leachman

Meet your guide

Alexia Leachman.

I developed Head Trash Clearance after struggling for years with fear, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm — and finding that the usual methods just didn't go deep enough.

I used it to heal myself from a severe anxiety disorder (tokophobia). Since then, I've been helping others to do the same. For over a decade I've helped people heal from anxiety, OCD, and tokophobia — and I've seen what happens when we go to the root and clear it.

Thousands have now used this method to overcome anxiety, trauma, and life-long fears.

After the programme

You don't have to disappear anymore.

This programme is designed to help you clear the core wounds of growing up as a glass child. When you do that work, something shifts. You begin to:

  • Set boundaries without guilt.
  • Ask for what you need without apology.
  • Feel less responsible for everyone else.
  • Stop carrying what was never yours.
  • Feel stronger, steadier, and more present.
  • Experience relationships without the quiet resentment underneath.

You don't have to be the strong one all the time. You get to exist — fully — without shrinking.

If, after completing this programme, you feel ready to go deeper, there are further options available — including ongoing support and 1:1 work with Alexia. But nothing is pushed. You start here. You clear the core. And you experience what it feels like to no longer carry this alone.

That is what this work restores.

FAQ

Common questions.

Is this therapy?

This programme is not a substitute for personalised medical or psychiatric care. However, it is designed as a therapeutic healing programme, not a self-help course. The wound healing tracks and clearances replicate the depth and structure of the work I do with private 1:1 clients — delivered in a contained, self-guided format.

If you are comfortable engaging in emotional healing work independently, this programme is designed to support you safely and effectively.

How is this different from talk therapy?

Talk therapy focuses on insight, reflection, and processing. This programme focuses on healing emotional wounds at their root — including pre-verbal and early adaptations that often remain despite years of insight.

Many people who understand their patterns intellectually still feel stuck emotionally. This programme works at the level where those patterns were formed.

How long will it take to complete?

The programme includes 26 wound healing sessions, mapped across six core wound clusters. In traditional therapy, this would often represent six months or more of weekly work.

You can move at your own pace. Some people complete it in a few months. Others take longer and revisit modules over time. You have lifetime access.

What if I don't remember anything "bad" from childhood?

This is extremely common for glass children. Many wounds form in subtle, repeated experiences — or even pre-verbally — where there is no clear memory but a strong pattern remains.

You do not need a dramatic trauma story for this work to be relevant. If you recognise the patterns, the work will resonate.

Will this make me blame my parents or sibling?

No. This programme is not about blame. Glass Child wounds often arise in loving families under strain. Healing allows you to process your experience without attacking or rejecting the people involved. It helps to restore balance — not bitterness.

What if I become emotional during the work?

That can happen. This is therapeutic material, and emotions may surface. The programme is structured and paced to support you safely, and you can pause or revisit sessions as needed. You remain in control of your process at all times.

Is this right for me if I'm currently in therapy?

You can use this programme alongside therapy. It can complement ongoing therapeutic work by providing structured wound-focused healing between sessions. If you're unsure, you can also discuss it with your therapist.

What if I feel I need more support?

The Glass Child Healing Programme is designed to be complete in itself. However, if you wish to go deeper or would like 1:1 support, working with Alexia is the next step.

Is this suitable for someone in acute crisis?

This programme is not designed for acute mental health crises. If you are currently experiencing severe distress, suicidal thoughts, or require immediate support, please seek appropriate professional or emergency care. This programme is best suited for those ready to engage in structured, self-guided emotional healing.

Restore what was never tended to

You get to exist — fully — without shrinking.

You don't have to be the easy one anymore. The strong one. The one who doesn't need much. There's another way to live, and this programme is built to take you there.

This programme is designed for educational and self-healing purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice or professional mental-health treatment. If you are experiencing severe distress, trauma, or are in crisis, please seek support from a qualified healthcare provider.
